Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Goes Street-Focused

Royal Enfield has been busy testing a new motorcycle lately! This upcoming bike is expected to be a street-focused version of their popular Himalayan 450 adventure bike. Rumors suggest it might be called the Royal Enfield Hunter 450fhun. It could be a more powerful and refined option compared to the successful Hunter 350, offering riders a better riding experience on the road.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Classic Look on a Budget

This motorcycle combines modern features with a classic look, similar to the Triumph Speed 400. It’s intended to be more budget-friendly than other bikes in this style, like the Husqvarna Svartpilen and KTM models. The design is all about clean lines and simplicity. It has a round LED headlight, a teardrop-shaped gas tank, a comfortable one-piece seat, and a short tail section with bright LED lights for braking and turning.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Engine and Performance

The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is expected to share the same main frame as the Himalayan 450, but with a different design for the rear section that supports the seat and suspension.  Under the hood, or more precisely the gas tank, the Hunter 450 is likely to borrow the Himalayan 450’s engine. This is a 452 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling.

In the Himalayan 450, this engine makes 40 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. These figures suggest the Royal Enfield Hunter 450 should have similar performance.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Advanced Features for All Conditions

The motorcycle should perform just as well without the fairing (the outer body panels). It will come with a 6-speed gearbox that includes a slipper clutch for smoother gear changes. Just like the Himalayan 450, this motorcycle will be loaded with tech features, including a digital instrument panel with Bluetooth that lets you connect your phone and see turn-by-turn navigation.

You’ll also get anti-lock brakes (ABS) that can be turned on or off, a throttle controlled by electronics instead of a cable (ride-by-wire), and different riding modes to adjust the bike’s performance for various conditions.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Powerful Engine at an Affordable Price

This means it will likely be lighter and handle better on paved roads, while still packing a punch with a 450cc engine. The price is estimated to start around ₹2.60 lakh, making it a more affordable option than some of its competitors. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the official launch date!

Stopping Power and Stability: Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Braking System

The new Royal Enfield Hunter 450’s suspension system is simpler than its sibling, the Himalayan 450. The front and rear wheels will be 17-inch black alloy. The back suspension will be a mono-shock setup. Both wheels have disc brakes, and also it has dual-channel ABS that aids in reducing skidding under heavy braking.
