Mahindra will unveil the long-awaited Mahindra XUV 3XO and its pricing today, 29 April 2024. Before the release, the car manufacturer unveiled several teasers that provided details about the features and fuel economy. Additionally, we recently unveiled the new naming of the upcoming XUV 3XO variants.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Interior Shares Design with XUV 400 EV
The Mahindra XUV 3XO’s interior design closely resembles that of the XUV 400 electric SUV, with some slight variations such as chrome decorations. Distinct attributes like the dual-tone black and white dashboard design, HVAC vents, climate controls, steering wheel, storage compartments, and seating arrangement bear a striking resemblance to its e-SUV counterpart.
The new interior in the XUV 3XO is a major improvement from the outdated cabin of the previous XUV 300, allowing it to better compete with Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and other rivals. One notable aspect of the interior is the addition of a panoramic sunroof, a unique feature in its category.
Included is a separate 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, steering wheel controls, AdrenoX connectivity, adjustable headrests, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, and Zip, Zap, and Zoom modes.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Performance, Safety, and Design Enhancements
Standard safety features consist of six airbags. Mahindra has revealed that the XUV 3XO can go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 4.5 seconds and has a reported fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmpl for the diesel MT option, which is equal to the previous model. The outside sees numerous changes influenced by the newest Mahindra models and the upcoming BE series.
The Mahindra XUV 3X0 is expected to come in different trim levels including MX, AX, AX3, AX5, and AX7, along with Luxury Pack and Pro variants. When it comes to the features, the SUV will be equipped with a spacious touchscreen infotainment system that has a wireless smartphone connection, a digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, an updated center console, wireless charging capability, and automated climate control. After that, it will also be outfitted with a 360-degree surround camera, a music system sourced from Harman Kardon, a panoramic sunroof, parking sensors in the front and back, and an ADAS suite.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Launching an Attractive Price
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is set to be a competitive player in the Indian compact SUV market. Expected to launch today, April 29th, 2024, its price tag is estimated to fall between ₹8.50 lakh and ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom). This starting price of ₹9 lakh makes it an attractive option. With features like a panoramic sunroof and advanced connectivity, it could rival popular choices like the Honda WR-V and Tata Nexon.
XUV 3XO Engine Options: Petrol & Diesel Powertrains
The Mahindra XUV 3XO, unveiled today, is expected to carry over the engine options from its predecessor, the XUV300. This means you can expect a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine in two states of tune, offering either 110 horsepower and 200 Nm torque or 130 horsepower and 230 Nm torque. There will also be a 1.5-liter diesel option with 117 horsepower and a healthy 300 Nm torque. Transmission choices should include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT for most variants, while the more powerful petrol might get a 6-speed manual only. Mahindra has hinted at a new “Zap” drive mode and impressive figures of 4.5 seconds from 0 to 60 kmph and 20.1 kmpl fuel efficiency, but it remains unclear which powertrain achieves these.
