Gear Up for Green: Toyota Hilux Electric Pickup Truck Plugs In for 2025

Toyota announced that their popular Toyota Hilux Electric Pickup Truck will get a fully electric version by the end of 2025. This electric Hilux will be a direct competitor to the Isuzu D-Max e-Pickup, another electric truck expected to launch around the same time. With both these trucks coming out soon, it’ll be interesting to see which one offers the best performance, range, and price for electric truck fans.

This announcement comes from the head of Toyota’s Thailand branch and follows closely behind a similar move by their Japanese competitor, Isuzu, who also plans to make an electric pickup truck. Both companies aim to have their electric trucks on the market in 2025.

They’re planning to build a battery-powered version of their popular D-MAX pickup truck in Thailand. This makes sense because Thailand is a major center for car manufacturing in Southeast Asia, and pickup trucks are a big seller there – both for people in Thailand and for export to other countries. By offering an electric D-MAX, Isuzu is hoping to tap into the growing interest in eco-friendly vehicles while staying true to its reputation for tough and reliable trucks.

Isuzu just unveiled photos of their all-new electric D-Max pickup truck. This is their first-ever electric vehicle, and it promises all the muscle of its gasoline counterpart. That means it can tow and haul cargo just as effectively. The D-Max electric is built on the same sturdy frame as the popular D-Max V-Cross. Buckle up for this Toyota Hilux Electric Pickup Truck to hit European roads in 2025, with sales likely to expand to other countries soon after.

Isuzu D-Max Gets Mild-Hybrid Option to Take on Toyota Hilux Electric Pickup Truck

Isuzu is still on time when it comes to eco-friendly trucks. They’ve unveiled a mild-hybrid version of their D-Max pickup to compete directly with the Toyota Hilux, which also offers a mild-hybrid option. In response, Toyota announced they’re developing a fully Toyota Hilux Electric Pickup Truck! This electric truck is expected to launch by the end of next year, but details on where it will be built are still under wraps.
