Aprilia just revealed an incredibly limited edition motorcycle, the Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo. With only 28 units ever being produced, this exclusive bike is built for serious racing. Developed by Aprilia Racing specifically for the track, the RS 660 Trofeo comes loaded with high-performance parts designed to shave seconds off your lap times.
If you want your bike to handle the twists and turns of the track, then upgrading its suspension is key. We’ve done just that by installing a top-of-the-line Misano by Andreani internal cartridge kit in the front. This lets you fine-tune how the suspension reacts to bumps, both by stiffening or softening its compression and rebound, as well as adjusting the spring preload. In the back, we’ve added a fully adjustable Ohlins AP948 shock. Just like the front, you can dial in the preload, compression, and rebound damping to perfectly match your riding style and the demands of the track.
Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Enhancing Rider Control and Performance
Modern racetracks demand a sophisticated electronics suite, and the Trofeo doesn’t disappoint. Aprilia equips this machine with a comprehensive package designed to enhance rider control and safety while maximizing performance.
A crucial element is the advanced traction control system. This system helps prevent rear-wheel slip during acceleration, ensuring smooth power delivery and maximizing traction even in challenging cornering scenarios. Similarly, wheelie control keeps the front wheel planted, preventing unwanted wheelies and maintaining stability under hard acceleration.
Aprilia understands the importance of engine braking control. The Trofeo’s electronics allow riders to adjust the engine braking level, giving them the ability to tailor the bike’s behavior to their preferences and the specific demands of the racetrack.
Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Aerodynamics and Race-Ready Design
The aggressive looks of the RS 660 Trofeo reflect its purpose. Gone are the lights and mirrors found on the street-legal RS 660. The Trofeo features a lightweight, aerodynamic race-spec fiberglass front fairing, designed to minimize drag and optimize downforce. This not only enhances stability at high speeds but also allows riders to push the limits of cornering with confidence.
The motorcycle’s handling has been significantly improved through adjustments to the chassis. The riding position is now lower thanks to a new upper steering yoke and adjustable handlebars. The footpegs can also be adjusted for better comfort and control. To shed weight, the bike is a few kilograms lighter than the previous model. The engine’s power has also been boosted by remapping the ECU to unlock its full potential. To complement this extra power, a racing exhaust from SC-Project has been added.

Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo: Limited Availability and Price Tag
While Aprilia hasn’t released an official price point yet, considering the exclusivity and the extensive performance upgrades, one can expect the RS 660 Trofeo to command a premium price tag. This will likely position it as a machine for serious track enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the value of a limited-edition, high-performance motorcycle.
The special edition Aprilia RS 660 comes with a hefty price tag of Rs. 18 lakh, placing it firmly in the high-end motorcycle category. This price reflects the exclusivity of the model, with only 28 units being produced. However, it’s also targeted towards serious riders who plan to compete regularly, as the upgraded features are specifically designed for track performance. So, if you’re a racing enthusiast looking for a limited-edition machine, the RS 660 Trofeo could be a good fit, but be prepared for the premium price point.
