This 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel engine uses a turbocharger to deliver a good amount of power and pulling force. It can make up to 184 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and 317 pound-feet of torque between 2,250 and 2,500 rpm. This engine is also found in the latest Triton pickup truck but in a version tuned for even more power. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.

There’s a brand new transmission replacing the old eight-speed automatic that’s been around for five years. This full-size SUV is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. In Thailand, the top-of-the model, the 2.4 Elite AT 4WD, comes with a special four-wheel drive system called Super Select 4WD II. This system also includes off-road driving modes to give you better traction and handling when you’re venturing off the beaten path.
